Thank you note

Hope everyone stayed safe and warm over the last few days! We received a very sweet thank you letter yesterday that made the day a little bit brighter...

"Hi Bonny and Pam,
I just wanted to touch base with you. I am really enjoying working at my new job. I am very grateful to you both for putting me at this great place. Its a great fit for me. I hope what you are hearing from them is good and that I am representing you well. They are a great company to work for. I guess it was sort of a blessing in disguise that my last temporary assignment did the lay offs when they did and that my new employer was ready to hire for this position. I am so lucky to have a job - especially in this climate, but even luckier to have one that I really enjoy and people that I like to work with. I am so glad that I interviewed with you all and I hope you never have to find me another job, but I always tell folks about you if they are looking.

Thanks again for everything,
Maureen P."

Thank you note...

We received a very nice thank you note this morning from an applicant who came back to our office to update her registration. After more than 10 years, she still remembered us and came back for help with her job search.

"I just wanted to take a moment on this monumental day, to say thanks for making me feel so special during my time in your office yesterday. I really appreciated the effort you and your team put into my entire experience. I felt very welcomed and understood as well as well represented in my search.

As I left I remembered why I am who I am today; and that in a large part has to do with your feelings of where I belonged so many years ago. You haven't lost your touch one bit and I for one am so glad for it.

Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of the greatest experience in staffing with Staffing Solutions, Inc. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best Wishes,
Lakiya"

Charlene Kricho, Recruiting Manager at Mercy Health Plans (and one of our clients!), gave a great recommendation to Bonny Filandrinos on LinkedIn.

“Bonny takes the time to know her clients. Because of this her ability to place the right candidate with the right personality, skill set, etc. is incredible! Her high standards and focus on customer service make it a joy to work with Bonny and her team at Staffing Solutions. Their quality screenings make me look good when a candidate walks through our doors.” January 16, 2009

Understanding Twitter

Twitter is the new "hot" online forum for social networking. I know, I know, the amount of online forums for networking is getting pretty ridiculous. I had actually avoided Twitter until absoultely necessary. Most of our applicants still prefer to be recruiter the "old fashioned way". But in keeping up with the times, learning how to use Twitter was a necessary evil of my job.

Sat in on a webinar hosted by CollegeRecruiter.com that was very helpful in explaining: 1) how to use Twitter and 2) why even bother? Although I can't share those notes with you, I found a "Twitter in Plain English" video on You Tube that might de-mistify Twitter and why it's being used by business professionals and Gen Y-ers.
